June 30th, 2008 by Ron

The Board of Directors of Better World Today Association is excited about the upcoming second annual Camp 4 Compassion to be held July 18, 19, and 20, 2008. Camp 4 Compassion is an opportunity for us to deliver a unique, powerful and enjoyable weekend camping event for families of patients affected by the Blood Cancers – Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma to bond together and to share their experiences as well as for members of the general public to learn about the devastating effects of these diseases and the critical shortage of available, qualified donors on the Bone Marrow Registry.

Photopheresis Machines in Ontario
May 25th, 2006 by Ron
Great news: They annouced today that there will be 2 photopheresis machine in Ontario. Thanks to everyone that has helped to make this happen. There was many people that put in many hours to make this possible. We went from being told that they don’t ever see this machine going to getting 2 machines.
Tom went to Calgary on Monday May 22, for treatments. He had photopheresis on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. They flew back home on Friday. The Toronto Star did a great article on Thursday about Tom and his struggles and the machine sitting in Toronto collecting dust. Here is the link to the article. Tom continues to do well.
